Important information we'll need from you

Before you start, it's handy to have certain pieces of information to hand about you and the person who has died. This will save a lot of time later when it comes to notifying us of a death.

Checklist

What we need from you

When notifying us of a death you’ll need to provide some important documents, including:

The deceased's Ulster Bank sort code and account number.  We only need to see one, even if they had multiple accounts with us

Proof of your ID - a driving license, passport or an ID card (electoral, EU or National ID)

Proof of your address - a bank statement, utility bill or council tax bill dated within the last 3 months

The original death certificate

The original Will if there is one

The final funeral bill if you’d like us to use money from your loved one’s account to pay for the funeral.

Information Message

These need to be original documents, not copies.
