Important information we'll need from you

Before you get started, it's helpful to have some information ready about yourself and the person who has passed away. This will make things smoother when you notify us.

Checklist

What we need from you

When you let us know about a death, we'll need a few important documents:

The deceased's Ulster Bank sort code and account number.  We only need to see one, even if they had multiple accounts with us.

Proof of your ID - a driving license, passport or an ID card (electoral, EU or National ID).

Proof of your address - a bank statement, utility bill or council tax bill dated within the last 3 months.

The original death certificate.

The original Will if there is one.

The final funeral bill if you’d like us to use money from your loved one’s account to pay for the funeral.

Information Message

These need to be original documents, not copies.
