    Don't leave appliances on standby

    Turn your electrical appliances off at the plug, according to the Energy Saving Trust this can save you around £35 a year.

    LED bulbs use up to 90% less energy and last up to 15 times longer than incandescent or halogen bulbs (source: smartenergygb.org).

    Turning the heating thermostat down by one degree can save you up to around £80 a year, according to the Energy Saving Trust.
