How do I send money abroad?
Making an international payment using the mobile app or Anytime Banking is just as secure as it is to make one in branch. You can make a payment to a new or an existing payee, quickly and easily, in the comfort of your home. Criteria apply.
How much will it cost?
For all standard international payments made digitally, it is free of charge. To make an urgent international payment, our fee is £25 per transaction.
You can also choose to use SEPA, the Single Euro Payments Area in which you can make and receive euro payments with zero fees.
Where a transaction requires foreign exchange conversion, a margin is applied.

How long will it take?
*SEPA is the Single Euro Payments Area in which you can make and receive euro payments.
SEPA International payments must be made in euros to (SEPA) countries which are within the EU (European Union) or EEA (European Economic Areas)

Receiving an international payment?
You can easily and securely receive SEPA Credit Transfers and international payments from around the world.
What details are required to receive an international payment?
To receive an international payment you need to supply your IBAN and BIC, these can be found on your account statement via Online Banking, or in the 'View/Share account details section of the mobile app'.
How much does it cost?
Euro payments are free to receive. For non-Euro payments, there’s a £6 fee.
- App available to customers aged 11+ with compatible iOS and Android devices and a UK or international mobile number in specific countries.
- Anytime Banking available to customers aged 11+ with a Ulster Bank account.
- Biometric approval is available to eligible app customers aged 16 or over
