What is an International Bank Account Number (IBAN)?
Your IBAN is used by banks of other member or joining countries of the European Union, the European Economic Area, Switzerland and other countries that have adopted the IBAN. It provides a simple method for them to check the validity of your bank account number.
You will need your IBAN when you want to make payments to an overseas account or to receive money into your eligible Ulster Bank account from abroad.
