What fee options are available for International Payments?
There are 3 types of fee options available for International payments. The fee options which are available to you will be displayed when you are making a payment.
The 3 options are:
You only pay our fee
You'll pay our fee. The foreign bank may also charge the payee a handling fee.
You pay all fees
You'll pay our fee, and pay an amount* to cover any foreign bank handling fees.
Payee pays all fees
Our fee will be deducted from the amount the payee will receive. The foreign bank may also charge the payee a handling fee.
* Foreign bank handling fees vary, depending on which foreign bank the money is being sent to.
Note: 'you pay all fees' does not prevent overseas banks from deducting fees from the amount the payee receives.
When you send money with us, we include a small charge in our exchange rate called a mark up. This means our rate is slightly different to the market rate.
This mark up is the difference between the rate we get on the currency market and the rate we offer you.
