Do I need to enter a PIN when paying with Google Pay™?

When paying with Google Pay, depending on the value and number of transactions, you may be prompted to enter your device screen unlock to authorise the payment - i.e. PIN, passcode, pattern, or fingerprint id, depending on the option you have chosen to set up.

Some Android devices do not support fingerprint id.
