How secure is Android Fingerprint?

Android Fingerprint, which uses your fingerprint to authenticate you, is unique to each individual and the fingerprint cannot be stolen from the phone even if the phone is lost or stolen.

The phone passcode is required in order to register for Android Fingerprint and to add or remove fingerprints.
