Our £150 Switch and Stay offer

Apply to Switch

Request to switch an account held elsewhere into your existing Select, Private, UFirst Gold or UFirst Private current account with us by 5pm on the 18th of November 2021. If you don’t yet have an account, you can request a switch when applying for a Select online, or open a Private current account and request a switch online before this date.

Once switch initiated

Pay in at least £1,500 in total and log in to our Mobile Banking app or Online Banking by the 30th of December 2021. £100 will be paid in to your account by the 28th of Jan 2022.

For initial £100

Make 10 eligible debit and/or credit transaction (excluding interest, fees and charges) on your account each calendar month between January & September 2022, and a further £50 will be paid into your account by the 16th of Nov 2022.

If you’ve had any cash back for switching to us (or NatWest/Royal Bank of Scotland) since October 2017, you won’t be eligible for the switch offer. We may end this offer at any time. See our full offer T&Cs below.

How does the Switch process work?

Day 1 & 2

The Current Account Switch Service will contact your old bank and they confirm if the switch can go ahead

Day 3

Your new account will then be set up and your payments, like your salary and bill payments will be moved across.

Day 6 & 7

We talk to your old bank about transferring your balance over. On Day 7 your balance will then be transferred and your old account will be closed. And that's your switch complete!

Ready to switch?

To help your switch progress as smoothly as possible, please ensure your personal details are the same on both your Ulster Bank account and the account you’d like to move. If you are moving a joint account, this can only be switched to a joint account in the same names.

Already have an Ulster Bank current account?

New to Ulster Bank?

Simply choose a current account and complete the online application or give us a call. As part of your application we'll ask for the details of the account you want to switch.
