Government scheme lets UK residents sponsor refugees

On the 14th March 2022, the UK Government launched their 'Homes for Ukraine' scheme which will allow UK residents to become sponsors and host Ukrainian refugees into their homes or properties.

UK residents need at least 6 months leave to remain in the UK to be eligible and will have to be able to house refugees in their home or other property for a minimum of 6 months.

Households in the UK will be offered a tax-free payment from the Government of £350 a month per property for becoming a sponsor.
