A mandate sets out your signatories and signing rules. This tells us who can use your bank account and what they can do with it. For example, if you have a business account, you might have several people who can use it, each with different permissions.

How to add, change or remove signatories on your account?
- Some Business customers can add a new third party / signatory on the mobile banking app. To check if you’re eligible, please see our checklist.
- You can add, remove or change signatories on your account by filling out the Business or Commercial form below. Have a read of our guidance to help you decide which is right for you.
- Once you complete the form, we‘ll need to contact other individuals named in your request. We may also reach out to you for more information.

What changes can I make using the form?
- By selecting "I want to update my existing mandate" you can change your signing rules, add signatories, remove signatories and change the details of a signatory / third party.
- By selecting "I want a new mandate", you can completely replace the existing mandate for the business. For example, you may want to do this if you have a complete change of business ownership or have bought over an existing business.

If you select “I want a new mandate”, this will remove all existing signatories and signing rules on the mandate and replace with those provided in the form. Any existing signatories who are no longer to be signatories will also lose their Business Banking facilities such as online/telephony banking and cards.
