A new, improved Bankline

Our new, customisable dashboard is the place you’ll land when you log in. See it as your portal to all parts of Bankline, and feel free to make it your own: 

• Choose favourite accounts and which balances you want to see here.

• Shuffle the order of panels, or remove them altogether. 

• We’ll notify you here if you have any unpaid cheques. 

• We’ll let you know here when new features are available.

• Scroll down and your transaction history will keep rolling for up to a maximum of 15 months. 

• ‘Search transaction’ is now at the top of the page, so you can filter what you want to see.

• You can quickly switch between showing debits, credits or both on an individual account.

• You can create account sets for your own view, and you can decide which other users can see them (if they have the right privileges).   

• Top tip: your existing account sets will be accessible here, but if you want to export account set balances, you’ll need to use original Bankline.

   

And a few more things

• You can request an account confirmation letter directly from this page. 

• Have you got admin access to manage accounts? Find this in the account management section of the Accounts tab, rather than in Administration.

What’s new with Payments?

• We’ve split the Payments menu into sections, so it’s easy to see where you can make, approve, and manage payments. 

• We now use ‘from’ and ‘to’ rather than ‘debit’ and ‘credit’ accounts on the payment screens.  

• We call the person you’re paying the ‘payee’. And ‘authorising’ payments is now called ‘approving’. 

 Smarter payment screens

• We’ve streamlined the screens for making and approving payments and included quick access to useful information via ‘i’ icons. 

• When you key payment details, Bankline suggests the cheapest payment type that meets the criteria you’ve put in. It gives you the actual charge for international payments, and informs you when changing the date for a UK payment could reduce the cost. 

You’ll still find all your saved payee details in Templates. These are shown in a single list. We’ve added an advanced search at the top of the page, so you can find templates quickly.

What’s stayed the same 

Direct Debits, Standing Orders, Payment Summary, Importing Payments and Redirected Payments all look the same as before. You can access them from the new Payments menu. 

You can manage and pay from bulk lists here too, using the ‘old look’ screens. 

Tip: Bulk lists don’t go through the usual ‘Confirmation of Payee’ (CoP) check for payments. But you can do a CoP check before you add or edit details for a payee in a bulk list.  How to run a CoP check on a payee for a bulk list

Get more support with Payments

It’s easy to find what you’re looking for, with three distinct search options: 

Search for accounts

Quickly find any account that you’ve registered on Bankline – handy if you’ve got plenty of them. 

Search for transactions

Search your accounts for a single transaction or a range. You can search by account, date, reference, amount, and more. 

Tip: Search a group of accounts to bring up a list of transactions for the selected group.

You can also search for answers to any questions, by selecting ‘Support’ at the top of the page.

What to look forward to

• Most of Administration still has the ‘old’ look screens, but they’re all accessible from new Bankline. In the future we’ll be updating these screens with a new design and making them easier to use.

• You’ll find your monthly billing notification and Bankline audit here.

We use these for important updates like:  

• current fraud threats

• upcoming Bankline outages or technical issues 

• any re-directed payments

Notification messages: 

This is a monthly message reminding you when your monthly Bankline charge info is available.

You may also see pop-up messages from time to time in Bankline. We use these to let you know about new features and share important updates about the service.

• When you need help or have a question, the best place to start is the ‘Support’ button at the top of the page. From here you can search our FAQs to get quick and clear answers. 

• Can’t find what you need there? Start a chat with us from any Bankline page and our digital assistant, Cora, will help. If Cora can’t solve it, we’ll connect you to an online adviser.
