The Current Account Switch Service will contact your old bank and they confirm if the switch can go ahead.

Your new account will then be set up and your payments, like your salary and bill payments will be moved across.

Step 3
We talk to your old bank about transferring your balance over. On day 7 your balance will then be transferred and your old account will be closed. And that's your switch complete!

- This service is only available to switch current accounts. Any other products you have with your old bank won't be moved at the same time.
- Over 50 UK banks and building societies have signed-up to the Current Account Switch Service. You can check if your existing bank provider is a participant here.
- If your old bank is not part of the Current Account Switch Service, find out what you can do on our ways to switch support page.
- You won't be eligible for our switching incentives if your old bank isn't part of the Current Account Switch Service.
- Direct Debits and Standing Orders won’t appear on your account until the first payment has been taken.
Already have an Ulster Bank current account?
You'll need to either log in to the mobile app or Anytime Banking to start your application.
Mobile app:
- Once logged in, select the current account you’d like to switch into.
- Choose the ‘Switch my account’ option to apply.
Anytime Banking:
- Once logged in to Anytime Banking click on 'Account details' on the account you would like to switch into.
- Select the option 'Switch to us'.

Simply choose a current account and apply. Once your account is open you will then be able to log into online or mobile banking and complete your switch application or give us a call.
