What's on offer?
We have three different types of Visa Debit Card - ServiceCARD, DebitCARD and CashCARD
All of these cards may be used wherever you see the Visa logo. Each card is secured using your personal identification number (PIN).
ServiceCARD
The ServiceCARD enables you to;
- Pay for goods and services at home, abroad and online.
- Withdraw cash at ATMs at home and abroad.
- Guarantee personal cheques up to €130.
DebitCARD
The DebitCARD enables you to;
- Pay for goods and services at home, abroad and online.
- Withdraw cash at ATMs at home and abroad.
CashCARD (only available on Savings Accounts)
The CashCARD enables you to;
- Withdraw cash at ATMs at home and abroad.
Some customers will have cards which carry the Laser / Maestro brand and the following information applies to these cards. Laser / Maestro cards will be replaced over the coming months.
ServiceCard
This three-in-one card allows you to pay for goods and services in shops, supermarkets, petrol stations, restaurants and many other places where you see the Maestro logo.
It also allows you to guarantee personal cheques up to €130 throughout the Republic of Ireland.
It allows you to withdraw money from any Ulster Bank cash machine or the network of cash machines worldwide, wherever you see the Cirrus symbol.
CashCard
You can use CashCards to withdraw money from any Ulster Bank cash machine or the network of cash machines worldwide, wherever you see the Cirrus symbol.
Stamp Duty
Government Stamp Duty is payable on debit cards as follows;
€2.50 is paid where cards have been used at ATMs only.
€2.50 is paid where cards have been used at Point of Sale only.
€5 is paid where cards have been used at ATMs and at Point of Sale
