Travel insurance - Overview

- Protect you and your family when you travel - we've teamed up with NatWest travel insurance to offer travel insurance, in Europe or worldwide, for you and your family.
- Guidance before you go - you can get information on customs, currency, visas and vaccines by calling 0845 246 0428.
- Support during your trip - help in a medical emergency and arrange a return home flight if this is medically necessary. We'll also help find your lost luggage, replace your lost or stolen tickets and passports, or find local doctors.
- Multi-trip insurance - if you travel regularly, our multi-trip travel insurance (PDF) could make a lot of sense. You can choose a Europe-only policy or worldwide cover insuring you for trips up to 42 days (120 days in total throughout the year).
- Longer-trip insurance - if you are travelling worldwide for up to 18 months our long-stay travel insurance long stay travel insurance (PDF) could be the answer to your insurance needs. We include temporary casual work you do abroad. You're also covered should you have to come home early to retake exams, necessary to gain entry to University.
- Single trip insurance - if you plan just one trip in a year we offer single trip cover (PDF).
- Who can travel under the policy? Everyone named on the policy can travel independently - adults and children (children must travel with recognised organisations or schools). We'll cover business trips too, if they don't involve manual labour.
- Winter sports cover - you can add this cover to single or multi-trip policies (maximum 22 days cover under multi-trip policies) for an extra premium. Damage to hired ski equipment, delayed resort departure, loss of passes and fees and essential replacement of items is included.
