  • Commission-free travel money
    Whether taking a break or working abroad over the holidays, you can pick up commission-free foreign currency at your local Ulster Bank branch.
  • Banking with no domestic transaction fees
    You won't pay any fees for domestic transactions, standing orders, Direct Debits or an arranged overdraft facility as long as you stay within the agreed limits. Charges for additional services apply. Please see our brochure "A guide to personal account fees and interest" (PDF), available in branch.
  • Interest-free overdraft up to £1,500 - £1,500 interest-free overdraft available (subject to approval) for up to one year after you graduate.
  • Graduate loan - As an Ulster Bank customer, you can request up to £5,000. For more details on Graduate Loans, please contact your local branch. Please note we do not provide graduate loans for the purpose of leisure travel.

Mobile Banking

We're making it easy to do your daily banking here, there and everywhere - with our new Mobile Banking app.

  • Get cash - withdraw cash from any Ulster Bank ATM even if you forgot or lost your card.
  • Transfers and payments - use the app to pay your friends, family, credit card or bills.. Or, if they use our app, pay your friends or family directly using only their mobile number.
  • Weekly balance updates - we'll text your balance at a time and day that you choose.
  • Limit alert - we'll send you a text when your account goes above or below a pre-set limit. Handy to know when you can save or splurge!
  • Get your balance when you need it - view an up-to-the-minute account balance or mini-statement any time you need to.

Graduate account is only available if you graduated in the past 12 months (and your course lasted at least two years). The graduate package is valid for a minimum of 12 months. During the year following the end of this 12-month period, we may change your account to a Current Account. We will write to you 60 days before doing this.

We provide overdraft facilities, graduate loans and credit cards under certain conditions and depending on the results of credit searches. Lending criteria, terms and conditions apply. Credit is only available to persons aged 18 or over, subject to repayment capacity and financial status and living in the UK for tax purposes. We may need security (by way of a personal guarantee) for certain overdraft facilities or loans.

Ulster Bank Mobile Banking and Text Services are currently free of charge to all personal customers. Data Charges may apply on the Orange & Virgin Networks for mobile phone banking. Mobile Phone Banking and Text Services are provided in association with Monitise Europe Limited. Mobile Money™ is a service which is delivered by Monitise Europe Limited.

Interest free Overdraft: You must pay the overdraft if we demand. Your debit balance should not exceed your arranged overdraft limit. If your account overruns without formally agreeing an arranged overdraft, or you exceed your arranged overdraft limit, this is called an Unarranged Overdraft. Graduate Loan: You must begin to repay the loan within 12 months of graduating and finish paying it off within five years. You can delay the repayment for up to two years if you are going on to further studies. Please note we do not provide graduate loans for the purpose of leisure travel.

Travel Money: Commission free travel money (foreign exchange) applies to Ulster Bank over-the counter branch transactions only for the customer's own use. Offer does not apply to transactions on foreign currency accounts, bank drafts, ATM machines, credit cards or foreign exchange transactions conducted via any other Ulster Bank products or services.
